Ksamil, known as 'the Pearl of the Ionian Sea', this small and tourist coastal town, a few kilometers from Saranda, is a place where nature and tradition coexist in harmony and intoxicate visitors with tourism. What to do in Ksamil
Nothing like renting a boat or a boat and sailing to the four islands of the coast, to spend a day in one of its lonely beaches and enjoy a restaurant specialties such as fresh fish and Ionian seafood, or mussels from the lagoon of Butrint and the meat that arrives directly from the local producers. And there is another corner that you can not miss, the Blue Eye or Syri i Kalter, a natural space of crystalline waters, a kind of deep lake that creates the illusion of an eye, with the center of dark color as the pupil, and the blue water that looks like the iris. 45 meters deep, a place that in the communist era in Albania, was reserved for the elite and remained outside the general public. The blue eye or "Syri Kalter i" as it is known in Albania, is located right next to the road linking Saranda and Ghiorgnzzati.
